Ready to Roll!

I finally have faith in my equipment. Let’s do this!

Rain did not let up much at all today and I am grateful as it gave me a chance to really feel out the new surly in less than desirable conditions. I had an epic downhill ride out of the Angeles National Forest and into Glendale - my reward for the two days of climbing, though it poured all the way down. My warmshowers rain pass jacket kept me warm and dry, I loved riding with my new fenders, the tires felt good on wet roads, my new dynamo hub was charging my spare battery in my handlebar bag… success! My departure for Canada is fast approaching and I finally feel comfortable and trust in my gear.

Riding in the Angeles National Forest - 106 miles, 11,000 ft of climbing over three days.
