Into the Woods Day 2

The generator never did stop running.  Funny thing is that the RV wasn’t all that close to me but sitting in my tent it sounded like it was right next door.

I managed to leave the campground at 9am, well before my 10:00 goal. I made up for it with lots of filming, however.  Today was a very grey, overcast and foggy day - a nice change from typical LA weather. It rained lightly for most of the day, the clouds often rolling across the road, sometimes lazily, sometimes overwhelmingly so that it was a challenge to see the road. Thankfully I have lights, a good rain jacket, and reflective wear.  As much as I love camping, I’m still so new at it. Every little sound makes me freeze, trying to identify the wind. It is raining now and I am grateful for my tarp; it is covering both my bike and part of my tent so that I have a little bit of dry space when I step outside. This morning I came across two cycle tourers from Florida, they are heading up to Washington State.  So nice to chat with them. I am also in PCT country which means I am meeting hikers from the Pacific Crest Trail, starting in Mexico and ending in Canada. Pretty incredible. I have been shivering since I stopped riding, it is so cold. Time to bury myself into my sleeping bag!

Distance: 26 miles

Climbing: Not sure - computer died during the ride. Likely 4500ft. +
